Did some digging in what I believe to be an old trash spot where Ive found pottery pieces before, there seems to be a lot of it here.

Found these in the field walking to the spot, a small multitool looking piece and another broken piece.

This is the "what is it". Found it on the bank of seneca river in a graveely/rocky spot of the shore. Not sure of type of stone, but it is heavy for its size and It is really water worn. Ive found many geofacts with convincing holes, but The 2 holes side by side are what have me leaning towards man made, though I could see it being a geofact with how waterworn it is. It is an odd shape as well.
I did best i could with different angles to show depth.
Anyone see geofacts like this before? 0713181238.jpeg 0713181255.jpeg 0713181237a.jpeg 0713181236a.jpeg 0713181237.jpeg 0713181236a.jpeg 0713181236.jpeg

The holes on the one side are really tapered as opposed to the back. I tried getting a shot of the inside of the holes at an angle, but I think its a bit too worn. I do see some kind of horizontal lines inside, but its so worn its hard to tell what exactly what made it. if it were just one hole I'd be more convinced its a geofact, I was hoping maybe shape would give it away to someone who's seen a million more rocks than me :laughing7:

With those conical holes sure looks like a weathered / water worn artifact. Nice macro photos of holes both sides would help to I.D. if rock or not .

Unfortunetely these are the closest pics of the holes I can get that are visible with the camera on my phone. I really should invest in a decent camera.
