Back at my mother in laws house that was built in the early 1900’s. Only had maybe a total of 5hrs to hunt all weekend because the heat was just brutal. Managed 4 silver, 22 wheats and this watch. Not sure what it’s made of and there are no marks on the back which I though was odd. It’s heavy and has some nice scroll on the edges. Hope everybody had a good weekend and thanks for looking. nice finds! There's a chance it's solid gold. Sometimes there's the back section that comes off and it's stamped on the inside. It could also be a very thick gold fill. Nice vintage watch!

Nice finds! Agree with testing, the watch isn't even tarnished on the edges! Let us know what you find when you open it.

That war nickel counts as silver too - five silvers and a nice watch is an awesome hunt in my book - congrats!

Do you have any advice for trying to get the back off? I can’t even really see a seam there but I haven’t gave it a thorough cleaning yet.
