Met up with Park Pirate today in his nickel field. Finds were scarce but I was able to dig this 1896 British six pence before the heat and humidity did me in. Surprising shallow for such an old coin, only down about 4 inches. Slightly larger than a US dime, a nice and unusual find. I dug a three pence from the same park last year.
