Well, from the Delaware Bay. Striped bass, I went with my 22 year old son (the real treasure was spending the day with him) I did this same thing last Sunday except we were not lucky enough to had caught any. This Sunday we kicked butt and filled our refrigerator up with fresh fish!
I know some of you might think this is not treasure but to my son it is real treasure.

Enjoy the pix

That might not be dirt fishing, but its close enough for me! Ha. Looks like you two had a great time Brad. Love striper (one "p" haha) fishing on the Chesapeake bay down here. Haven't been in a while, but we used to go often during trophy season and catch our limit of 48" fish! Tons of fun. Well done Brad.

It looks like treasure to me. There is nothing better than filling your freezer with fresh fish, & spending time with your son.

Catching free food with the kids is the best; especially when they can still smile like that, you know you raised them right.

Excellent post,,
I love catching Striped Bass.
Congrats to both of you

Joe, I used to always cut open the stomach of every bass I caught just to keep track of exactly what they were feeding on. The most interesting finds were a small conch and one had a rock the size of a softball one time.

Thank you everyone for your comments, I still feel good today and I have been taking gift bags of fillets around to friends.
