I am a grateful kind of guy. I'm able to get out and hunt and not feel pain from doing it. I know that some day, as we get older, it will become more difficult. But for now, I'm enjoying it.
Today I returned to the hill that has been generous with a nice variety of targets. Once again I choose to use the DEUS. Although I have hammered this hill quite a bit, there are still plenty of targets. Unfortunately, most of them are Zincolns. So to get around them I cherry picked a little bit. I focused on quarters, or target that registered pretty deep. (8 inches). It's amazing how deep some of the pennies were.
Early in the hunt, I hit an Indian Head Penny and shortly after that, a Large Copper. In the afternoon, I finally pulled a silver coin. Now, I am happy for all the coins and keeper targets that I came across today, but this silver is a beauty.
It's a 1929 Mercury dime in mint condition and has almost split bands. Really a Double Happy Dance Kind of Coin.

Yep, it does. I've been thinking a lot about what I've been finding lately, or probably more to the point, what I'm not.
One nice coin per hunt is all I'm asking. And....not just clad. But, even one fair to middlin' old coin has been asking
too much. Mostly, it's been my own fault. Too little research to much just going for the easy. Same ole places. :dontknow:

Glad you were able to find a few nice ones!
