Sometimes Plan "B" is better than Plan "A"
Plan "A" was to try to hunt for some CW relics for a few hours while I was in Culpeper, VA yesterday. But that didn't work out so I had to go to Plan "B". My Dad and I went back to a site that has been good to us in the past. I was on the way back to Carolina so we only had a couple hours to dig. This is a 1780's home site (still standing) My first target was a buffalo nickel. Not really what I was looking for, but I didn't throw it back. The next target was a musket ball. Now, we are on the right track! A few minutes later, I was looking at this 1784 half reale. I found another copper or bronze coin that I cannot ID. It's on the "What is it" forum if you want to take a guess. I wish we could have stayed a little longer, but the land owner has given us standing permission any time. We WILL be back!
