I have been doing some in depth research of a local park. I actually bought a notebook to keep detailed notes. I'm finding I like the research part more than the digging part. If you guys ever need some research done pm me!

So anyway,
I got all the details together and made a phone call to a local township. I had names, dates, pictures, and a small hand drawn family tree to show diligence. I called and got ahold of a fire chief / president of the historical society. He was impressed with my research. I was very honest and told him I plan on finding the homestead and when I do I plan on marking it off and hunt for relics. Something to prove or disprove my research. He is going to take my research and present it to council and try to get $$$ to fund my little project. He said he would like to see a sign put up and maybe a shadow box of the relics in the township building.
