well after getting the 2 GOLDS at clearwater. i determined to really GO on tues. i was really

STOKED. by 10 am i was in the water and only 2 breaks during the day til 7 pm.

about 7 and a half hours of total hunting.

well, you guessed it . what seemed like a cake walk the previous day.

turned into NO targets hardly at all. then about 1 pm i entered a great coin field.

in the next hours i dug 111 coins. total ovcer 6 dollars clad.

i was very excited at first thinking there would be jewelry also.

i had finally hit a cut. yessssssssssssssss.

but a lot of the coins were very deep and the surf picked up a bit.

very stubbornly i refused to quit.

amazing what a little gold will do for fortitude.

well ,the story is it was all coin not even junk jewelry.

all along about 60 yds of beach ..then no signals

i wonder what sort of wave actions could have done this.

very sore but happy in the knowlege that i had given it my best

i wandered off to the hotel hot tub :tongue3:

I enjoyed reading your post, scrounger d .....because I can strongly relate to that experience.

It has happened to me on so many occasions.

I rationalize all the time spent on finding "zip" as time trying to improve on my tone ID's , slowing down my coil sweeps, and getting lots of fresh air and relaxation .

Good luck on your next hunt...I'm sure that you will do well.

111 coins! WOW

I can't remember the last time I scooped up that many coins in Jan. or any month for that matter.

Good job Mark

I hope you enjoyed the nice warm weather :laughing9:
