Started metal detecting in 1985 but left soon after and got into my true passion which was coin collecting. I was building a complete typeset of United States coins but it just got too expensive, so I sold them all and put the proceeds aside for my sons college fund. Now I have retired and have started to get into metal detecting again. I prefer water detecting and we do have a lot of lakes in Wisconsin. My good friend and hunting partner is Toothpick another Treasure net member. Without his technical help I would still be just a looker instead of a poster.
