I haven't been around here much lately, but have been coming around more from time to time.

Happy Hunting.

You just come here from time to time, Sounder? I don't know how you can resist us. You need to be hanging out here more often! We're more fun than a barrel of monkeys! :D

Nice picture, by the way. Where are you from? :)

Mona Lisa, I am from central Illinois, just south and east a little of Peoria. I have been detecting since 1974 off and on, but have been at it pretty steady for the last 5 years since I retired.

Thanks everybody for the comments and welcome.

Hey Sounder:

If you came here to get away from me, it ain't gonna work ;D

Been a member here since November, but only recently have I gotten a little more active here. Lots of good info and nice people, too.

Well, lets see if I can answer these questions:

First of all, Hi DFIU!!! Always glad to see an old friend!!

Old California, you are welcome to hunt my yard anytime.

River Rat, I have found lots of clad coins, an 1889 V-nickel, an 1891 Indian Head penny, and a couple of pieces of jewlery, buttons, and about a million small pieces of steel siding. When they sided the house, they just cut the pieces in the yard and left them there.(ouch) The house is over 100 years old, and I hope to find more in the yard as I go along.

Blackjack77, yes it is a Garrett GTP 1350, and I love it. I have 4 detectors,(Bounty Hunters and Garretts), but the 1350 is my favorite machine.

Happy Hunting.
