I have Jamesons "Buried Treasures of the Appalachians" it has a chapter on North and South Carolina. I am not sure how much of it is real but its pretty factual. You can find it on eBay, Amazon and half.com for less than $10 plus shipping and handling but I am sure the new one would not be over $12-15. The publisher is August House and the ISBN is 13:978-0-87483-126-9 South Carolina: Lost keg of Gold starts on page 155, The Indian Gold Mine De Soto Never Found on page 158, and Silver Mine in Pickens County on page 163.
