Hmm, not sure of parks, but word has it that some battles for Texas and possibly CW took place in that area.

For parks I'd go to the City's web site and look under parks and rec.

I did go to the web for parks in Beaumont and there is Sprott park, Libera Park, Live Oak Park, Montrose Park, Alice Park, Adams Park. The web didn't give how old they are or if permit is needed. Hope someone from there can answer and save me some time and tell me which are safe.

No permit but should go early before the locals wake. there or a lot of those parks in bad parts of town. I sent you and email

Besides the parks, there were a few ferry crossings on the sabine and neches rivers in the 1800s. Some of these were located on roads that are still used today.

Yes that has been what I am researching now. With all the rain this week rivers are very high better be ready to get wet.
