My Grandfather came to the AZ Territory as an infant in 1900. He and his parents and uncle landed in Prescott from Missouri. His father and uncle found work with the railroad as telegraph operators.

80 years later, he and his new wife wrote the book 80 Years in Arizona so his children and grandchildren would know how the man and the state grew up together.

There are a couple of pages regarding a gold mining operation in South Mountain Park. It's interesting read. Unfortunately I loaded the photos in the wrong order. Read the pages right to left.
