Excellent detector without Mods.

the only mod I was aware of on sovereigns tones disables the Muli tone to single tone.

and only meter mod was changing 550 targets to 170 (I think) targets.

Sorry I don't have a chart, but all silver and recent coins other then Nickels & Zinc Cents hit 550
but so do large Aluminum and a few other large Metals.

I always tuned mine to 555 not 550 just to be me.

& Zics would hit 545 along with Early Indians

at that setting most Jeffersons would hit 444
Buffalos 434
& V's 424

If I remember correctly, Sorry been too long.
But I still dug everything I got a tone on anyway & Got many surprises over the years

I have three of them and all have the after market meter. My thoughts are they will hold their own against those most popular machines that are currently being marketed. My new machines are much less weight and maybe not as good in the performance area but my old bones appreciate not having to push the extra weight.
