So I have been running my Sov GT with my 180 meter and liking it more and more.

All I have for it is the tornado 10' coil

So 2 questions,

first, what is better for the beach
15x12" SEF or coiltek 15 wot coil or 10' tornado?

Next question
what is better for the parks
8' tornado or s-5 sunray or 8' sunray?

Where I live there are many beaches, white sand with very little mineralization,
inland there are mostly trashy parks, not too many open fields.

Thank you for all your help and suggestions.

Also does anyone know if I can use the mind lab hip mount bag as a cover if it is still on the shaft and not hip mounted?

I ran a 13" Ultimate and really liked the balance and coverage more so than the 10" Tornado. The 15 wot is 840g and the Ultimate is 618g (approx 1/2 pound heavier) I found the 13" lightweight, deep, and very sensitive to small targets. Secondly, I have a 5" and 8" sunray for my Etrac. The 8" sunray covers 95% of any park i ever hunt. I only use the x5 at old homesites that are very heavily infested with nails. And lastly, yes you can use the hip mount bag as a cover when shaft mounted. Just take off the flat Velcro pad off and the slot fits right around the mounting bracket on the shaft. Then use the belt strap mounted across lower part of slot by the coil cable to hold the bag together. The GT is about the best balanced machine I've ever used.
