Just wondering if anyone on this forum has ever found what they might have thought was an artifact from it.
I can't imagine what I would think if I found something that survived that disaster...but I have no doubt that there are still pieces out there that have been buried across 3 states and are going to eventually be dug up.
Anyone here found anything that might be part of it? Would you even tell?

I thought about this when it happened. I think there is some international law about pieces of spacecraft falling to earth. I think it belongs to the country of origin. A piece of a titanium tank fell in Australia years ago.

I'd sure like to have some of the solar panels from some sat.

Lots of people have found bits of it. As I remember it's illegal to possess any of it, and I believe you're supposed to leave them where you find them and notify NASA

It would probably be un-identifiable as it would look like any other scrap of metal.
