I have metal detected around part of the property with my new White's MXT but much more to prospect including an old spring and homestead. The ore samples actually assayed out to be worthless except for iron content. My interest at the moment is more toward relic hunting as this mine was first started in the 1700's during the Spanish Colonial Period. Per agreement with the landowner I can't disclose the location.
The Spanish were busy little fellers and there are dozens of similar mines throughout central Texas, which most people don't know.
