I have not been out in a couple days, today was looking the same, finally around three I decided to try a spot that I heard used to be a speakeasy years ago. The site is now a corn field, that was what I was waiting for, they cut the corn so I could go stumble around in it. I was not there long when I found a War nickel which was what I was kind of thinking I would find. about a half hour later I had a coin sound with a lower number that made me figure I was going to dig a IHC to my surprise I found a well worn half Real. Had to leave shortly after that.
Enjoy the pix

Nice going on the silver, something that's still on the want list is a Real.
Thanks, I hope you find some.

You found two Old Dudes!
Congrats
Thanks Dave

my first thought was 85 as is one pic it looks like you can see the top bar of the 5 but in the other pic not so much.
In person I'm going with 83, thanks Abe, you have always been one of my favorites, remember that time I found a state coin before you did? And when I titled that I found your tree coin you were looking for. And you trumped me with the coveted "Tree Coin"

I'll second don on 1783. You can just make out the bottom tip of the 3 sticking out. Congrats on the Spanish silver!
That's what I'm talking about Zach, I'm going with Don's ID especially I can see better here at home than any of you guys. Thanks buddy, wish you were with me when I found it.

Nice find. Ive hit quite a few pre civil war sites and made some great finds but the ubiquitous late 1700s 1/2 real eludes me:occasion14:
Thanks, my second 1/2 Real, I hope there are more there, I didn't get my coil over much in that spot, I'll be back.
I hope you find some too someday.

Sweet silver finds!! Always great and and always unexpected when Spanish silver shows itself.
Congrats!!
Thanks deershed

Sweet Spanish Silver.
Man, you're on a really nice site.
Congratulations
Thank you ATW

Sure you are, I just got lucky, thanks.

Very cool! Congrats, ye old coin licker! -Lisa & John

Fantastic finds. Any day you find a real...is real special! Big Congrats!
Thanks

Congratualtions on the Real! :occasion14:
Thank you Prof

Nice Brad! The only thing better than Spanish silver is Spanish....ah, nevermind. Congrats brother!
Thanks Steve

Congrats on the sweet real Brad. I can totally understand not hunting much after that find. Good finds motivate me to hunt more, but great finds like a real will sometimes shut a hunt down so I can savor the high.
Thanks Kevin
I could not see it that good out in the field, I just needed to verify what I knew was a Real, besides the fact that I had a commitment that was pulling me away. Now I'm supposed to be going Striped Bass fishing tomorrow and really I want to start gridding that entire field, it's only about 100 acres, lol

That is a awesome find!! congrats.. I want to hunt that coast :)
Thank you, come on out! You can hunt with me.

That's one I've not stumbled onto as yet!

WTG!

Wow! Great finds! More waiting there for you I'm sure! H Digs

Nice Spanish Silver 1/2 Real! Enough for a flagon of rum back in its day! :treasurechest::occasion14::skullflag:

Two great looking coins.

Thanks, I'm headed over for a short hunt before putting the bird in the oven and hooking up the boat to go fishing with the kids!

Thanks
I'm hoping the drunks dropped more change, I'm spoiled from soybean fields, I hope next year this field is beans!

Let me know, I would take a vacation to do some east coast hunting!! :)
I will

Two great looking coins.
Thank you

Nice ones and you only hunted a short time. Now you will not have to wonder where you can go hunting for a while!

Always good to see a little Spanish on the boards. Congrats and happy Thanksgiving : )

Nice silver! Looks to me to be 1782.

Awesome piece of Spanish silver Brad! Glad to see you're enjoying relic season before we get snowed in.

Congrats on the Spanish silver Bradley!

I hope that another one shows up before the winter sets in!
