Well I got out this morning at one of my ghost town sites. It was still pretty grownup. The only area I could search is full of iron. I have searched this area 3 times with the Etrac and have only pulled one IH and a button, no other nonferrous targets. I decided to use the F75 and man I'am glad I did. I pulled out my first"cut silver" a Spanish 1/2 Reale(3rd one from this site). It was laying with 2 nails and iron on both sides of the hole. You cannot move coil without getting multiple hits. I came out with 3IH's(1881 no pic)2 buttons, lead balls, a coll buckle. I will take the 5"dd coil next time and maybe pull another keeper or 2.

Interesting cut silver...so you have a 1/2 Real that was cut into approximately 1/3 which by my calculations would have been traded for 2 cents. (12-1/2 x 1/2 x 1/3). Funny, we were just talking on JohhnyBlaze's thread about a 1/2 Real that looked like it was going to be quartered.

Very interesting cut Spanish silver. I agree Erik, and I was thinking the same thing about JB's thread.

I can't see much of your coin, but yes if there are multiple targets on every swing give the 5 inch a try, you will probably be well rewarded.

Good luck out there.
