Hunted a field next to my in laws. I have found flat buttons of various age in one part of the field in the past but not much else. Found some more buttons and the tiny buckle in that area. Tried a new area this time closer to the road on the highest ground in the field. Iron everywhere:headbang: Found a flat button, watch winder, and a plated ring marked 18:BangHead:. I really thought I had a seated on that signal since I had already found a 1881 IHP, shield nickel, and three fatties. 1862, 1863, and the other looks like a Flying eagle but its the most toasted one Ive found. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas

Really nice finds! I'm too lazy to dig those 12 - 12, 13 signals. Have enough problems with those 12 - 43 squeaker's bottle caps deep. I gamble, when I get a copper a tooth pick / brush can't help me identify. I figure it doesn't do me much good displaying it. So I'll put in in with the other clad in the rock tumbler with plastic aquarium rock. Seems it's 50 -50, sometimes after a few hours tumbling they come out great, half the time I just wasted my time as their true condition appears.

Very, Very, cool toasted, congrats!

My granddaughter's ten months old and just starting to give her Pop-Pop a lot of silly grins or I might be out there with you!

All the best and thanks for the greeting!
