Hello Forum,

I found a piece of an old trunk, horse related items, old glass , and this spoon. Does anyone recognize the makers mark? Thanks for looking!

I cannot read the markings. I will tell you they are old and I have found a lot of that style underwater from different companies.

Here are 3 I found last year:

I have drawers full of old silverware that was used at beaches.

Thanks scubadetector. It looks like YSM maybe? Dating this area will help me understand the time period. One thing is for sure I will go back there. There must be coins, buttons, and other old items.

The style is Fiddle Thread. All mine are different companies. That was a very popular pattern in sterling and in plated

Some call it Old English but most call it Fiddle Thread. I just know it is old! Where I find most of it is in the Detroit river where a beach was from 1909 - 1963

All my research says 1800's middle to late it was popular. No clue for sure.
