"Spoonless in Seattle" (It was found in Vermont!!)

Got out to and old block house that dates before 1800 today. I have been trying to get to this place for a couple of years and really thought it was going to be great. Turned out to be mostly a bust. Did find a really nice sterling collectors spoon from Seatle. Also a 1916 D wheatie, a couple of buttons, 1965 dog tag, St Chris medal (Aluminum) and a suspender catch. It was a beautiful spot, but not much old there. Thanks for looking...Lance

really nice!, how did you manage convince the house owners to scan theirs property?

It just took a while to find out who was living there. Once I did, I just asked him and brought along another detector to show him how to do it also. He had a great time too. There just was not that much there. Thanks for asking...Lance

Nice finds Lance.
I would give it another try
as the 1916 wheat proves
there are old things there.
Love the spoon, very nice!!

Sweet spoon, so not a total bust. The dog tag is cool too.

Well, thats just the way it goes sometimes in this hobby. Some places look so promising and don't produce and others that don't look too good will surprise you! Hey a silver spoon is COOL! :D. WTG

Just a guess but that spoon is proably pre 62. Reasoning is it does not have the space needle on it and everything, from Seattle, since the worlds fair has. Love the top of the spoon, thats the view out my shop window. Enjoy. Stan...

I agree with some of the posts that is a very nice spoon and a nice piece of silver to add to the collection. I also like the other finds as well.

Congratulations,

Some nice finds. Spoon is great. ;D Maybe the good stuff(old silver) was too deep for the detector....
