Sports field GOLD.

I usually hunt the water at the beach but when it starts to cool down I have a few sports fields and parks I hit. I went to a multi purpose field today where Ive found gold and silver rings in the past. Three hours of digging pull tabs and coins and I got a feeling and said to myself "Im going to dig a gold ring today". Thirty minutes later I see this 10k shining in the hole.

Good score on the gold but as you well know it takes a lot of patience and digging junk to find it.

I gotta ask though, what would you be doing different when "hunting for a gold ring" as opposed to regular hunting?

Do you habitually ignore everything less than 70? Unless ring hunting?

I didn't change settings to find a gold ring, I just got a good confident feeling during my hunt. I use an AT pro and hunt in zero mode and dig everything above iron. When hunting sports fields, parks, etc. Im looking for gold.

Here in Florida the tourist will go in until the water temps goes in the 60s...when the water hits the 60s almost no one goes in, plenty of people on the beach but no one in the water. The air temp was 84 here today with water temp at 68 on the central gulf coast.
