I managed to get over to a school/tot lot about a block from my house today.
the original school was torn down and a new one built 12 years ago so there is alot of trash from demo!!!!

I decided to cover around the trees today an managed to pull 1 1958 wheat, 12 clad pennies 1 clad nickle and this small salmon pendant!! it is so small that it took about five minutes to locate it!!!


After awhile I hit a very strong Reading and thought that I had another pull tab after digging down 5 inches i saw what looked like a rock so i pulled it out, it got tossed aside then i picked up the detector a rescanned to hole !!!!!! Nothing? I Jumped up and started detecting in the direction i tossed the rock, if found it in the grass about three feet away. IT is screaming in the gold range on my detector I'm Not sure what it is?? Way to big for a tooth filling!!!




Well the Verdict is I have 15.2 grams OF BRASS Still haven't found gold this year Yet!!!!

I'm going to get it checked tomorrow along with gettin the salmon cleaned I'm going to give the salmon to my land lady she makes hand made jewelry!!!! My wife and I want to see what she can do with it!!!!

Sure looks gold in the picture... Wouldnt that be great if it was?? I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya. What does it weigh? Heavy?

Now what are the odds of that happening? I mean a guy goes out with his metal detector to do some coin fishing, and ends up digging up a FISH! Man! YOU take it to a whole other level! Cool finds my friend.

sorry I didn't get it checked today other things came up. The salmon is a charm I'm not sure how old it is. ill let you all know as soon as i know The gold what ever is alot heavier than my wedding band!!!! Hopfully on Tuesday i can find out!!!! happy hunting to all!!!!

For sure, mangled and shiny....and gold....is as valuable as smooth and shiny and gold......all spends.

Sorry it is a Sockeye salmon not a Mackerel!!!!! had the Jeweler offer 25.00 for it today,NOT

top pic is salmon bottom is mackerel!!! he asked what i found to bring me in today so i handed him the Gold thing he tested it nothing just brass than i handed him the little salmon and he said that is a very nice sockeye you have, a few minutes after he offererd to buy it, still trying to figure out why he offered so much!!!! maybe He know's who made it I dont see any marks on it!!!!
