hi all,

I just dropped off 500 lbs of stainless and I almost cried

.15 cents a lb!!!!! bad day for me,
I have to split it with a customer

tin steel $50.00 per ton
yellow brass .50-.60 cents per pound

like everyone else is saying right now ...... hoard it, if you have the space

I would almost not want to go out right now, but there have only been 3 of the 22 scrappers out lately.
I got alot of aluminum on my last trip out, wires too.

good luck out there and hope this gets corrected after the election

Like I said before, bad news is good news and this is terrific news for you rumblebelly.

Only 3 out of 22 scrappers out there scrapping you say which leaves rich pickings for hard workers like yourself.

My own case is the same as yours with the volume of good scrap now untouched and lying around about 10 fold more than just a few weeks ago.

For me this huge volume has offset the price drop and furthermore with the low prices
people are much more willing to give me scrap.

For a lot of people scrap is rubbish that they simply want removed and if the usual scrapper that looks after this person or company has moved onto "richer pickings"
then this is a great opportunity to get this person as a new customer.
