✅ SOLVED Stamped GOLDENGATE - is this a keg tap?

I found this earlier today at an old site and almost left it there since it was a long walk and it is heavy. I think it is stamped "GOLDENGATE" and what I found on searching are vintage beer keg taps - none look exactly like it but they do look similar.

It's making me laugh to think about it because when I mentioned this site my older sister immediately said she and her friends used to party there in high school. But it would be a long haul for a keg! I would also think this is older than that.

It's a little over 6" long.

Rather than a stove part I think that's actually the burner from an old gas light. A search of google images for antique gas light burner turned up some that are pretty close.

That is really neat! The site I found this at is known for having some of the first gas lights in the area.
