bigger coils will always detect deeper targets then a smaller coil thats just the facts jack

If deeper is the only criteria larger is deeper. However, there's no advantage in trying to use a deep coil in an area so filled with trash that the coil is overwhelmed with shallow, trashy targets that mash deeper, hopefully better ones.
