Today is day FOUR of my vacation ~ I'm off work until April 30th! WOOHOO

I headed out to go detecting today after I dropped off my girls at school. I only was detecting for about an hour before the rain came. So I packed it up and went to rent a movie. After watching the movie the rain cleared some ~ enough to go detecting anyway. I ended up detecting for another two and a half hours. Here's what I dug today:

Standing Liberty 25c (no date)
Botton made from Silver Rosie dime
3 Wheat cents ~ 44-D, 45-D, & 53-S
1952-S Jefferson nickel
1974 LTD Bus token
13 clad quarters
21 clad dimes
3 modern nickels
65 memorial cents (not pictured)
copper tag w/ "16"
copper moon & star thingy
1996 Atlanta Olympic Torch Relay pin

I found the Standing Liberty Quarter in an area that I pounded pretty hard before. It didn't come in that great, but it pinpointed pretty deep ~ at about 7 inches, so I decided to dig it. I took a picture of it with the camera on my cell phone as soon as I found it!

Thanks for looking!
Neil

Love the slq. Man they are tough finds.

When I read your title about a silver button made out of a dime I thought it would be a seated. I did not think people were still doing that. Very cool. Congrats on the SLQ also.

I WISH IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A SEATED COIN! Seated coins are very rare finds in my neck of the woods. I've been detecting for about 15 years and I've only dug one seated coin ~ a 1868 half dime.

I like that button!..even that SLQ is nice..a bit worn but NICE anyway!

WTG on some nice finds.
