Just managed to find my first reale and am really pumped. I have been pulling quite a few coppers out of these fields so I new silver was a possibility. I have never found one so I do not know much about them I am guessing it is a half reale? The other question is what is the mint mark if you can see it? Last should I clean it,it is pretty worn. I believe the date is 1781. I have yet to pull a silver coin from the 1800's but I will take one from the 1700's. thanks for looking

Darn nice score !! Congrats !! I love that spanish silver. Thats a hard one to cross off the list.

Very well done sir! Congrats.

Quite the feeling seeing the king of Spain looking at you, huh?

congrats on the awesome Reale and breaking the 1700s. totally sweet!

One special find. I am thrilled it jumped under your coil.

Nice one, I am always jealous when someone finds a reale as that is a bucket lister for me. I would gladly take that over a seated any day!

Great to see some milled Spanish silver, and I always appreciate a good reales pun.:icon_thumright:

Congrats on a bucket lister that eludes many!

Congrats on the reale. Everything after that is gravy. That field you're hunting sounds fantastic. One last thing, I'm liking the looks of that plug, looks like a fairly easy dig....

Minted in Mexico City in 1781. Must have arrived by ship;) Congrats on your first Spanish.

Congrats on your first Spanish silver mate.:icon_salut: I just want one tiny one before I go to that great hunting ground in the sky.:icon_thumright:

Nice score on the Spanish silver, congrats.

I've never found Spanish silver - Congratulations! :occasion14:

I've been blessed to find a 8 Reales which was the oldest coin I've ever found. Congratulations on your 1700's silver.

Thanks scrappy and everybody else and yes the ground is very easy to dig you've gotta love farm fields were there are not many rocks or roots and you do not have to worry about plugs as much. heading back this weekend hopefully I can find another or my dreaded seated.

Very nice that is one that is on everyone's bucket list!! Congrats:icon_thumleft:
