Hello everyone I hope you're all out swinging those coils I've been getting out almost every day trying to squeak a little something out of this old ground up here today I pulled up a coin I have no idea what it is there's writing on it on the Reverse it says 1782 on the front it says the number 50 and then there's lettering around the edge but I don't know what it says any guesses let me know I posted it in the what's that section
Thank you happy hunting and good luck

Hard to say , little more cleaning .... Mackydon might be the one to id it for ya

I doubt it is from 1782. Probably just an ID number for the token. Looks like late 1800's until the 1930's or so.

Nice digs Charlie, keep digging dude.

Cool token Charlie. I guess you posted this before we talked but I'm glad to hear my guess was correct. I love those old credit tokens. A favorite of mine is "Good for 2-packs of cigarettes".

My guess on dates for yours would be 1860's-1880's. Although they continued long after that, the styling and sophistication of the tokens got better.

Love the toke Charlie, I think I'd give that a 10 minute naval Jelly treatment.
