Strange little figure i found

Guys &Gals I found this 5-6 years ago in Helen, GA. It looks like a bird or chicken and I wanted to post it so the more experienced members can tell me if it is an effigy?
It is heavier than pottery for sure. Let me know what you think!

Oh my that thing is hilarious.
Looks like petrified bubble gum that someone doodled around with before they flicked it off their finger.
Either that or it's proof of aliens in Georgia

My daughter got ahold of it with a highlighter. I don't think it is anything, but I thought I would post anyway.

Looks to me like a clay baby chick, or bird of some kind. And the little holes are where legs were poked in, And maybe the outer layer is peeling off.
