He is general Lee, Soon Shin who fought againt Japanese invasion force in 16 century.

Thank you, Yonglee and welcome. Always good to get help from others who know about things here we don't know. and I will find interest in reading about Gen. Lee, Soon Shin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yi_Sun-sin ... Also maybe you could offer a little more information on a Korean ambassador named Chi Ryang Chang. I've been very limited on finding much information on him. I found these spoons he gave as a gift for a daughters wedding of a Dr. Nyle C Brady who I found out was a soil scientist.

I was stationed in Korea and retired out of there last summer. I loved my time in South Korea,lots of history and the people are fantastic.
The pictures were shot on K2 Air Base .
