About twenty years ago while detecting on an old church property I found an odd looking piece of metal that neither I nor anyone in my detecting club could identify. It was about six inches long and patterned like a leaf with what looked like a couple of hundred small nails sticking out of it on one side. I thought maybe it might be a curry comb for animals or something along those lines, but never really knew until today when I was wandering through an estate sale and saw something similar, but this one had a manufacturer's name on the back, "Dazey" . Went home and googled it and the little light bulb over my head switched on. It was a 'flower frog', a device designed to be placed in the bottom of a vase or other container to help keep flowers in a fixed position. That thing had me befuddled for a long time.

LOL, looks like a mini bed of nails. The things you can find at estate sales are amazing. Glad you finally got your ID.
