Bought a little over $20 in nickels yesterday. I found 2 1943 war nickels. One has a P mint mark and the other an S mint mark. They aren't in the best of shape. In fact you can just barely read the P mint mark. But they are the first war nickels that I've found. So I'm thrilled. I also found a 1950 George VI cent in penny rolls this week.
For the first time since right before Thanksgiving I finally got to spend an afternoon metal detecting. I hit a new Elementary School tot lot. (New for me searching it.) In 2.5 hours I dug up 51 clad coins. That included four quarters in one hole. I'm now well over 1700 coins for the year.
