With all the rain I didn't have much work this week so got some digging time in. I went out 4 times to 3 different spots for a total of about 12 hours. The following are my better finds
st row union eagle button, .58 3 ring mini's
nd 1700's tombac button, .58 3 ring mini's
rd part of a colonial shoe buckle, .69 roundball & .52 Sharps carbines
th 1/2 of a kepi (hat) buckle, .36 colt, .44 Johnson & Dows & .58 confederate Gardner
th button back, brass river, brass grommet, 2 burnt nails from a fire pit. The nails are iron. It is not uncommon to find iron relcis that have been hot enough where it tempered them so they never rusted.
