Stupid Question - Any Civil War relic sites in Michigan? Can anyone Help me?

I'm sure this wont help much but, I did do some research a few years back. I'm a few miles from Detroit and I found that belle Isle was some sort of "camp" at one time. Also, a few areas around Ypsilanti/Ann arbor/Dexter, sent some of the first troops to Tenn and GA <walking>. I did not find any actual "hotspots" in Mich. I did find that Detroit has some awesome old spots for fur trade routes and such if you can find them. If you have any better luck with research let me know. HH dave.

I dont know about Civil War History , but here are several GAR encampment sites for Michigan......The Department of Michigan was chartered on June 24, 1884. There are 26 Camps and over 500 members throughout both of Michigan's peninsulas representing the interests of the Grand Army of the Republic and honoring the memory of those who "wore the blue" in defense of our nation.
