Sun Ray Gold Headphones and Equinox 800 .. HELP!

I guess I should have done more research before buying the Sun Ray Gold headphones for my fairly new Equinox 800. I bought them online and they arrived today with the Minelab Equinox 1/4" to 1/8" headphone adapter that I purchased separately. I plugged everything in and found out that the Sun Ray headphones do not work with Minelab's adapter and the company I purchased them from wants a 20% restocking fee to return everything!

Surely there is an aftermarket headphone adapter (1/4" to 1/8") that will work with the Equinox 800.

Sorry, if this has been addressed before but I couldn't find anything by searching the forums.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Were you told why the GG headphones will not work?
The only reason I can see why they don't work, the GG's have a stereo 1/4 jack.
It has 2 black bands on it, 1 for each channel.
But you still should get sound from 1 side.
A mono jack only has 1 band, feeding both speakers.
Here's a stereo to mono jack, I don't know if will solve you problem:

Call kellyco service the service person knows a lot about the adapters needed for the box and he's super nice and helpful I forgot his name but if you ask for service you will get him. Good luck

I found out that the adapter works great with my Sun Ray Pro Gold headphones when they are plugged into the Equinox WM08 module. They just won't work when plugged directly into the detector. I can live with that for now.
