Yesterday afternoon we went out to do a little hunting and the misses found a small obsidian point and some rare pottery finds. Pottery is just not easily found around here. Within three feet of the pottery I found the large thumb scraper and the remnant of a buffalo horn. I believe this area was a camp site. At a nearby area I found the one sided (unifaced) stemmed point. I am not sure, but it may have been used as some type of tool.

Looks like this may be our last time out for quite a while. Wishing you all Happy Hunting and some great finds.

Some nice finds but that scraper is very easy on the eyes.

Thank You!

What is puzzling is the thickness on these pieces. Maybe it was a large pot.

The thicker sections usually means it would be closer to the bottom of the pot. The design is so the pot would be heaver at the base so the pot wouldn't fall over as easy.
