I was finally able to get out for an all day hunt a cellar hole that I just found this season. The woods were still a little thick but I managed to pull a number of decent finds out. I was determined because its archery season and i've been waiting for awhile for a Sunday that I wasn't busy. Let me tell ya, I was as toasted as my KG copper by the end of the day:laughing7: My finds consisted of: a small handful of flat buttons, A COOL old sterling souvenir spoon with Manchester By the Sea engraved on the bowl, A crusty King George II, an 1865 IH, and what looks to be a holed LC that has been pounded flatter for some reason (maybe poker piece), a musket ball, A skeleton key, and a few other odds and ends. Im not sure what the thing along my pinky is in the last pic so maybe if someone knows they could let me know. Its almost 3" long and it has an ornate pattern engraved in it. Maybe a plate on a gun?? i have no idea.:icon_scratch:
Thanks,
Coilcrazy

Nice digs! I love the fancy dandy button, and you got yourself a decorative muzzle loader side plate (along your pinky finger). I would hit that site hard, I smell Spanish silver or a state copper there!! The silver spoon is a sweet find, although later than some of the others.

Thanks! Yea the finds from this site ranged quite a bit in age. It was next to a road that was used until the 1950's. Thank you for the ID on the muzzle loader side plate as well, its greatly appreciated!
