Another day in the fields completed… it was freezing out there today… but you can’t beat detecting to the sound of the church bells on a Sunday morning 😍 xx

What do we have for you today… it’s a smorgasbord that what it is…😂 let me start you off with another tiny seal I found… I believe it’s a bird…😍 xx then a fish scale crotal bell, alas it’s not complete, then I found this shiny piece… thought I’d found the holy grail… 😂…. Then a little lead piece with a cross and this little piece… once jewellery I would imagine, 2 tiny buckles… a little footballer bent badge, then 2 more little bits.. a lead pot mend and stopper.. next little bit is strange has a faint pattern on both sides…. Thimble, lead weights and old nails, buttons by the score, 4 toasted coins, and finally himself found half a shortcross hammered… god love him! xx

Congratulations to both of you for your top shelf recoveries. :hello2:
The seal is a real beauty-so good on you blossom.

I tip my hat to Himself on the cut Short Cross half.

The item in photo #7-part of cheek piece/horse fitting?

The little squarish item with the pattern also interesting. (How many mm?)

Now 10-15mm that's a wide range.
A 5P (1990–present) 18.00 mm

Picture 7 interests me as it has a decoration & 1 of 3 loops like a 16th C Sword Belt hanger but is combined with a buckle end. Difference.

The short cross has a Moneyer of 'Pieres', you might be able to narrow it down a bit from the 4 Kings it could be.

Sorry ignore spur buckle ref in comment.. i screen shotted comments from a face book post (not mine) xx
Might be a loop for a large purse bar (not 100% convinced), but it was made to carry something pretty heavy.
