My father and I ran a Salmon and Steelhead fishing charter boat service in Ludington Michigan growing up.
When we would see those sky's in the morning it usually meant for bad weather. The old time sailors had used the phrase "red sky in the morning, Sailors take warning" And for the most part, it held true.
