Rae!! Welcome to this forum.. Check the municipalities, but I think the only NJ beaches that are of limits are the ones up north where the ammo dumps were. And you need a permit at Atsion Lake.

I'm not sure of the beach names in CM but the lighthouse beach is def. off limits as it is a national park and is marked " no mding". I detected the beach to the right of the lighthouse beach (when looking toward the water). It was good for clad. That was early August. Good hunting
