Looks like a great day!!!

Can't be to cold if you can pull them out of the dirt. Up here, they are well froze in.

Yeah great hunt glad you were able to get out before the bad weather hit. Cold here going to be single digits at night this week in GA.

Those are great finds! Love the axe and that pretty little quartz point! We got tons of sleet last night in the Western NC Piedmont and my driveway is on a slope so even with 4wd couldn't get up it to go to work so baked some bread and went in the creek for a bit and did have a little luck, a broken quartz small Savannah River and small pottery shard. Going to be too cold the rest of the week with the single digits and high of 17 Thursday. If it weren't for the snakes I'd say I'm so ready for Spring lol

Yeah we just got ice here in eastern nc. No fun. I was hoping for just a really hard rain but no luck. I am ready for some warmer weather. Do you guys have any idea what the slate piece is?

Nice looking Guilford axe!! I'm on the VA. Line, about 30 minutes north of Durham NC. It's cold and snow covered here. Thursday's low is -6 here. I'm not sure if I've ever seen that type of cold. I guess I have. It's already cooler than a polar bear's toenails.

Ha ha yeah I am not used to it being this cold. I usually hope for 60's but man alive I would be excited about 40's at this point. Oh well I guess it will be a week or so before the ground unthaws.

Warming spell coming your way. Its Friday here and high of 38 today but the weekend says 50s. Of course I am working on the warm days. Wish I could find a ax or even a celt here. Im sure they had them but I haven't found any yet.

Looks more like quartzite to me. It looks like a point missing the tip. It looks to have secondary on the edges to me.
