*****POSSIBLE DISCOVERY COIN*****

BESIDES IT BEING AN RPM (REPUNCHED MINT MARK) THAT LOOKS LIKE A "B"-

CHECK OUT THE NUMBER "2" SOUTHEAST OF THE "9" AT THE END OF 1959.

THERE IS ALSO THE LETTER "D" THAT APPEARS TO BE DOUBLED ABOVE
LINCOLN'S HEAD. ALSO A LARGE NUMBER "0" EAST OF LINCOLN"S FOREHEAD

DOUBLED WIDE SPREAD (ALMOST SEPERATE) IN BETWEEN THE WORD "TRUST".

A LARGE "S" EAST OF THE BACK OF LINCOLNS HEAD.
THERE ARE OTHER ANOMOLIES ON THE OBVERSE.
SEE IF YOU CAN SPOT THEM;)

THE REVERSE IS JUST AS COOL...

FIRST IS THE CAPITAL LETTER "I" IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER JUST BELOW THE MEMORIAL STEPS.

ALSO THE LARGE LETTER "S" LOCATED NORTH OF THE "C" IN "CENT"
AND A SECOND LARGE "S" NORTH OF THE "N" IN "ONE"
$UPER COOL!!!

THERE ARE STILL MORE ANOMOLIES...SEE IF YOU CAN SPOT THEM;)

If you want anyone with an experienced opinion to chime in, you will have to give up the handheld camera, plus focus the image better.

The one thing that is obvious in your images is the mint mark. It is NOT a repunched mark. If anything, you have a minor die chip resulting in a partially filled “D”. As for everything else in your description, I do not see it. I do see a lot of minor damage, which can be expected on a coin over 60 years young.

Time for more coffee.

I'd say galenrog pretty much covered it.

Thanks. I really do dislike the results of handheld cameras, of any kind, being used for close up or high resolution images. I still have, and use regularly, the Nikon digital camera I bought about 20 years ago when I sold a lot of coins on eBay. Quality tripod. Macro lens. Diffused lighting. I still use it when the wife needs a quality image. Used it a few years ago to get some excellent black and white shots in and around Torshavn. Takes a few minutes to set up, but nothing beats black and white to convey emotion, or to show extreme detail.

As to seeing things in coins, I advise everyone interested in coins to study and learn all aspects of the process of manufacturing coins. It is fascinating.
