Getting out this time of year is a real bonus for me, so when I drove past the Church Field were I found my Gold Stirrup ring, I wasn't going to pass up on a opportunity such as this, even though it was a pasture field
I have been on this field a couple of times in the past, but not with the XP Deus, this was just a two hour search and the copper coins soon made a appearance, around the four to six inch depth, so I was pleased with this, even though they were Edwardian, and a Vicky Silver chucked in just to keep me on my toes...good fun. So when a shallow signal showed up just under the grass roots, I thought silver foil...but no, and to my amazement a Edward 111 Half Groat, and full flan at that, with a lovely portrait.
Met a few of the locals as there was a church meeting going on, they showed some interest as to what I was doing, one telling me a friend of here's had lost a silver earing a long the footpath that ran through the field, I found that and returned it to here.
Not bad for two hours, and getting to know the new machine
