I recently went to a church sale and picked up a box of books for $5. Four of the books are pictured below. The Jay Roe Collection auction catalog is scarce, it contains pics of fractional gold coinage. I've only found 2 on the web, one for $95 the other for $250. The book to its right, Small California and Territorial Gold Coins by R.H. Burnie 1955, is also scarce. I've only found 1 example for sale at $75 and a signed copy for $300. The hard cover, American Coin Treasures and Hoards, is another great find, it sold for $59.95 new is now out of print, and the cheapest used copy I can find is $98.77 on Amazon with others at well over $100.
