Hey gang Had an excellent hunt today. And boy did I need it for a change
Coming off my 2 year run with the MXT 300 & have been trying to learn the Safari. I think I'm coming along pretty well. Not only that, but, I think it's going to be a long-term relationship. We might even go steady
I dug about 90% of all signals today. Just to get a better understanding on the sounds the Safari makes. I must've dug what seems like hundreds of pulltabs, however, no gold
Did however manage to snag a couple of gems. The itemized list is as follows...
A cool pewter charm
Boy scout slide
Cheapo ring
Standing liberty quarter (my reward for the day) - Unfortunately no date. Completely worn off
3 wheaties - 2 1945's & a 1956
1 1965 canadian cent - looked it up in the book and says it's worth $18.00 -Small beaded edge with the rounded number 5
A broken buckle (can anyone help I.D. it)
2 bullets (methinks they are 2 ringers. A wee bit smaller than a dime. Has oxidation on them as you can see in the pics. I.D also needed)
Anyways, glad I returned to my "sure thing" park today. It never fails. I ALWAYS pull at least one keeper out of there. I also met up with another forum member today - John. Very nice guy. Looks like we'll be hunting together again soon.
BTW, I take my finds pictures in my bathroom where the lighting is good. My girlfriends hair is all over the place. Starting to drive me bonkers Anyone else hate this too?
