I'm pretty sure it's from Germany. I'm not seeing that makers mark too well on my smartphone.

can't quite tell from your post, but you realize that that isn't plate? It's 80% solid silver silverware from Germany. I have several pieces myself, but not that manufacturer.

I knew right away it was not silverplate. Grabbed the bag and checked out asap. I found the maker, Lutz and Weiss. Maybe it will be worth more? I was in a thrift shop slump the past week or so, this makes up for it!

Great score. I am amazed how much 800 is missed. Just don't fall for 90. That is plate.

True, as it applies to German and Dutch marks and and one or two other European countries.
The same cannot be said for Russian marks though.
