Swingin' in the rain

Had a short but fun hunt with the one and only Giothegreek this morning. We have been trying for two years to get out and play in the dirt and finally the stars aligned. Too bad it had to be pissing rain, but some plastic bags and a raincoat got us through it. Started off searching for 4 cellar holes on an old road, only to find that every site was filled in with gravel. What a bummer! From there we tried our luck at another cellar hole that's been pounded to death. Nabbed a 1944 Merc on the surface (detectorist pocket drop) and a Palmolive token. Hit Loyalist field #1 and did pretty well. Actually, he did but I'll wait for him to post his finds. I got a 1947 dime, a musketball with small holes in it, as well as a circular design (ramrod?) , what's left of a thimble, and a silver plate over pewter salt shaker.

It's strange to see a Palmolive token i that shape.. I found one last year from the 1930's and it's round. Congrats on the keepers you dug.

Thanks guys :occasion14: The shape is definitely odd. I found another one online and it gives a date of mid '20's , but it's not Canadian.
Vino, thanks for looking and commenting dude. I agree, someone had some spare time on their hands lol. There's some weird and artistic Musketballs out there! I have one carved into an acorn as well.

Awesome hunt, bro! I had a blast. That musketball is cool. I'm sticking with your original "game piece" theory!
