Hi all The whistling kites have been busy Name sounds good but really my partner and me are really just a couple ole dry land buzzards .LOL Trevor and myself have been spending time in a settlement. Those who settled there were known as Ticino [swiss] In the 1850's Italy was known as the country that is today. Borders were so different. Mix of Italian and Swiss. Like many of 100,000 of people who came to gold rush in 1851 quite a mix of cultures and countries .Been to site a few times mainly looking for gold. But on the empty handed days we spend a few hours nibbling throught a junky mining camp. Good relics such as coins are hard to find . But managed a couple of keepers

Swiss 1850 silver Tiny Half Penny Weight ,Small buckle and some gold .
